Diamond Turned Null Reflectors for Generalized Aspheric Metrology Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of testing generalized aspheric surfaces. The technique involves the use of diamond machined null reflective compensators. These null mirrors can be designed, fabricated and qualified in-house quickly which is a big advantage in a production environment. Methods of null reflector design as well as test configuration alignment will be discussed. Several examples of this method will be used to illustrate the technique.
